I'm not exactly sure what this is. It is tender and a little painful but nothing too crazy. What could I do to get rid of this?

My Valentine's Day Project: Love in a Box

Every year, I like to make a special Valentine’s Day gift for my wife, and it’s kind of become a tradition for us. This year, I designed love coupons with a box to store them in! It’s been a lot of fun designing and printing this. I made a NSFW version if you want things a bit more *spicy* ;) The design is simple to print, and the coupons are customizable so you can make them your own. My wife loved the idea, and I hope it helps other people who might need a last minute or easy gift for their partner on this Valentine's Day. Would love to hear your thoughts or see how you’d customize it! Happy printing! If you want to print it for yourself: [SFW Version](https://makerworld.com/models/1026992) [NSFW Version](https://makerworld.com/models/1019818)

(Controversial) Ranking every Boss in Dark Souls 3 as a first time player (Did I say this list is controversial already?)

So, yeah. Today I woke up and chose violenc- I mean, I chose to make another banger of a post in which I give my ridiculously controversial opinions on DS3 bosses this time around. Be aware that I’m not going to be kind to some of these bosses, so I’m sorry if they are your favorites in the game, but not mine. Keep in mind that these are my thoughts on my very first full playthrough of Dark Souls 3, including the DLCs. It’s also my 2nd Soulslike game after Dark Souls 1 which I played first. Anyway, let’s get started with my review and thoughts on every boss in the game, in order. The Best to Worst list is at the end: **Iudex Gundyr:** C- Tier * Somehow too simple and too complex at the same time. I guess the first phase is okay? Especially for a first boss, I’d say it was fine. But it still feels too basic, you know, in Phase 1 it mostly plays out like a miniboss. Phase 2 somehow cranks it up to the other extreme. The **first boss** being a shadow dinosaur is way too much. And it’s not even interesting to fight, good luck reading the moves of those things. Asylum Demon (DS1) was so much better, and so is Margit in Elden Ring **Vordt of the Boreal Valley:** C Tier * With this one it felt like they at least tried to do something. The design is somewhat cool, but the fight itself is very boring. Most of it’s attacks are only swinging and slashing his sword in different ways toward you ***(foreshadowing)***, coupled with a few charge attacks that are a bit too difficult to dodge. It feels weak in comparison to Taurus Demon (DS1), which is something I thought I’d never say because I don’t necessarily think Taurus Demon is all that good, however, while he had less attack variety than Vordt, he had a better arena and more memorable design overall. **Curse-Rotted Greatwood:** A- Tier * Actually a pretty solid boss, which is rare coming from Dark Souls 3. It could’ve had a few more attacks, but I’d say it works perfectly fine for the time you fight it- oh, what’s that? Oh, people don’t like this boss? Huh. It’s for sure way more interesting than another repetitive 1v1 with only melee attacks boss, no? No?? Well. I don’t really know what to tell you, but I thoroughly disagree. I also like the gimmick of different weak spots, prevents the fight from getting too stale. I just feel that bosses like these are more engaging than 1v1 duel number three thousand five hundred and fifty four. I can agree the first phase is a bit cheap with the other enemies, but Phase 2 is pretty good imo **Crystal Sage:** C- Tier * Yeah, this boss is basically Pinwheel on steroids. It’s technically better than said boss, but not by much. Similarly to Iudex Phase 1, it feels like a miniboss, which, oddly enough, is what he ends up becoming in the Grand Archives anyway. Not sure why they didn’t just go that route right away. It doesn’t seem nearly fleshed enough to warrant it being a boss. It’s not lower because I can at least appreciate it’s not a 1v1 duel, and instead has some somewhat decent magical attacks. However, I feel like Phase 2, while a cool concept, is a bit too spammy. It’s either a cakewalk if you are overleveled or a nightmare where you are forced to basically predict where the Sage will teleport to next if you are underleveled **Deacons of the Deep:** A- Tier * Yo, look at that! Another boss that is hated by the community, yet I think it’s pretty good. I’m starting to think I like certain bosses for the exact same reason others dislike them, and vice versa. Very unique fight, the only problem is that, if you know the strategy, it’s pretty easy and overly short. But, other than that, I appreciate the concept and creativity here, even if the attacks of the Deacons themselves are really basic for the most part **Abyss Watchers -** S- Tier * A rare exception to the rule of 1v1 duels being largely boring, formulaic and unmemorable (imo). Abyss Watchers does the most with that concept, by having multiple targets (which generally makes almost any boss better) with some very sick lore, culminating in a second phase… a 1v1 duel. Though I don’t fault this boss for that. The reason being that, I think it works perfectly in this case scenario. And I’m not saying that no boss should be a 1v1 duel with only melee attacks, I’m just saying that the majority should avoid being such. The mechanic of one Abyss-bound Watcher attacking the others is sick, and mostly what elevates this fight to S(-) Tier. * The only real bad thing here is that the Phase 2 Abyss Watcher has fire trail attacks on the sword which makes them all nearly undodgeable in my experience, but I don’t want difficulty to affect this ranking. I do think it would’ve been an even better boss if there were even more Abyss Watchers in the first phase somehow, without it feeling overwhelming, it would’ve given the feeling of truly fighting a legion (obviously there should be more allied Abyss tuned ones too to compensate) **High Lord Wolnir:** A- Tier * Yeah, I think I like and dislike bosses for the opposite reasons you dislike and like them, respectively. I love giant bosses in almost any game, so that already kind of sets me up I guess. Wolnir’s design and scale is also stunning. The issue here is that the minions are far too annoying and difficult to deal with, which forces you to rush Wolnir before he can even spawn them, which in turn makes the bossfight shorter, which is not a good thing. And I think it could’ve used a few more attacks, and a bit more length. * I think most of the hate for Wolnir comes in that, if you know what you’re doing, you can rush the rings and the bossfight will be over before he can even use all his attacks even once. However, if you… uhh… handicap yourself and take your time with it (bear with me on this one) the boss is actually pretty good, and quite a few of the attacks are pretty good like the Mist one or the Dagger ones. You could still make an argument for it not being A tier, but I still can’t consciously put this or Greatwood at any lower than B tier, I’m sorry **Old Demon King:** B- Tier * We’re on a pretty good streak now! Maybe I underestimated DS3, maybe it does have good bosses after all. I wonder what boss is nex- Oh no. Yeah, this one is pretty boring. It bores me to even think about anything to say about this guy, he’s super generic, and I really have nothing to say here. It technically has cooler attacks than what’s coming up, but the design is just too generic to be worth remembering. It feels like Taurus Demon but… fire *(Demon Firesage foreshadowing)* It’s one of those weird cases where the individual parts(attacks) of a boss are better than the combination of all, and the boss itself. Originally I gave this a C+ but I retroactively increased it’s score because it still fares up much better than some of the other 1v1 melee bossfights in this game. * The main issues with this one are that for one the design is unmemorable and uninspired, and his attacks are kind of too slow.  **Pontiff Sulyvahn:** B Tier * I retroactively lowered this boss’ rating after playing more of this game, which may be unfair, but idc (Originally, it was a B+ Tier if you were wondering). That should probably give you a taste of what’s coming up. Spoiler alert: It’s basically just fighting Pontiff over and over again starting now, since all the bosses are basically the same exact thing, but with a different 3D model. * The premise is insanely boring as almost always in this game. It’s just the boss hitting you with melee attacks only, I can’t imagine something more boring than that. And the worst part is, it only seems to get less and less creative from here on out. Pontiff has a second phase, which is mostly what elevates him here since he gets some decent attacks like when he raises himself up in the air to do just about anything. He also periodically summons a ghost clone version of himself, but it feels really constrained and really doesn’t add much instead of being another target, which may be for the best to be honest. **Aldrich, “Devourer of Gods”:** C- Tier * Dear god please no. It’s literally a reskinned Gwyndolin from the first game, in a reskinned O&S arena from the first game, in a reskinned Anor Londo from the first game. And, on top of being literally copy pastes for the most part, they are worse than the originals. As in, Anor Londo was way better in the first game, and the O&S arena was better in the first game. And Aldrich himself is comparable to Gwyndolin, who I also don’t think was a very good boss. * Aldrich, the self-conceited “Devourer of Gods” (my a\*\*) is like Gwyndolin and Crystal Sage had a baby, for better or for worse. Admittedly, the attacks aren’t terrible, but you are basically just chasing him around the arena always, while being remembered of the bastardization of an otherwise awesome area (in DS1). Mind you, this is NOT how I expected the **“Devourer of Gods”** to turn out. The only reason this gets C- instead of lower is because I would have a hard time saying Crystal Sage is better (it isn’t) **Yhorm the Giant:** B- Tier * Kind of cool, but Stormruler sword feels slightly overpowered against him. Maybe it should take 7-8 hits to kill him instead of just 5, and that would give the fight a better duration. If you don’t fight him with Stormruler, you’re up for a miserable time since you deal negligible damage otherwise, and you are bound to eventually mess up, run out of Estus, and die. So your only real choice is to use Stormruler unless you are a masochist (not me). I also think it needed a bit more attack variety, and I’m still kinda salty that he looked much bigger in the intro cutscene, and how they missed an opportunity to have a Shadow of the Colossus-esque boss herein. **Dancer of the Boreal Valley:** C- Tier * Honestly, I really struggle with not putting this guy in D+. He’s basically Pontiff but without all the extra cool attacks that earned him a B+. It’s the most barebones, basic you can get with a boss. Where’s all the creativity at? I’m bored. The dud literally has *only* melee attacks. In my opinion, that’s not how you make a good boss. But people still love it, for whatever reason that may be. I want a boss that uses cool VFX attacks, while also having multiple, ***distinct*** phases, and good spectacle as a cherry on top, this is basically the very antithesis of all that. It’s not a terrible boss, but it is a terrible boss if that makes any sense. I don’t even know anymore man. At this point, I began to lose hope in the game as a whole, even though I really do like the combat, enemy variety and gameplay loop since it’s very addictive even at it’s weakest  **Oceiros, the Consumed King:** C- Tier * This one is as if the Old Demon King and Vordt had a child. Phase 1 is a lamer version of Old Demon King, and Phase 2 is a lamer version of the Vordt fight. It has the same issues as both of them. Phase 2 is especially easy in comparison to Vordt, because you can very easily stick to his back and he won’t be able to hit you with most of his attacks. I reckon you can do that with Vordt too, but there’s a reason he’s not past C tier either. Again, that may be for the best, since I don’t wanna be stuck playing a boring boss for several hours **Champion Gundyr:** D+ Tier * If you happen to be one of the people who think this is the best boss in the game, then I’m sorry but I’m not gonna be kind to it. It’s Iudex, but without the second “so bad it’s good” phase. Did I say Dancer was the weakest implementation of “1v1 boss with only melee attacks”? Well, I’m starting to have second thoughts on that. This one is somehow even more boring. * I appreciate the callback to the earlier area, but they could’ve tried harder. It feels like Failed Champion but… eh, to be honest Failed Champion wasn’t **that** good either (iykyk). It’s the only boss in the list that I actually gave up on too, since the gimmick of “rolling at the very last second to avoid ALL attacks” is starting to get old fast, especially with someone with my reaction time. I came back to it when I reached 15 Estus Flasks and absolutely obliterated the poor fella. Again, I don’t want to keep repeating myself, but the formula of 1v1 boss with only melee attacks is far too boring for me to even reflect upon it. * On the moment it isn’t *that* bad, but thinking about the boss is just extremely boring, I’m sorry, it’s just too uncreative for it to go higher. At least Dancer had a somewhat cool design, but this one is just not it bro **Dragonslayer Armour:** A+ Tier * Strangely enough, this is a 1v1 boss with only melee attacks for the most part**.** Yet I enjoyed it a lot more than I thought I would. I guess it has to do with him having a greataxe and a shield instead of dual blades/one big sword, which is already overused into oblivion. * Most of the combos are actually not that hard to read too (Keyword, most, because it has some attacks that you literally can’t react to, and can’t be dodged in the same way you dodge another one… if you beat it, you know what I’m referring to probably, but it’s hard to put it with words). The dragonflies in the background are cool but their attacks come off as annoyances and bs rather than something that adds to the fight. The arena is sick too. Overall, it felt closest to something like Ornstein and Smough in DS1, which is a fight I really liked too, for better or for worse * In my opinion, his attack combos are more interesting than those of Pontiff, Dancer, Champion Gundyr or the next boss **Twin Princes:** B+ Tier * I don’t understand the people who think this boss is S tier worthy. It is yet again another implementation of the “1v1 duel with only melee attacks” trope, and I’m just exhausted of it by now. The worst part is, this one has surprisingly low melee attack variety, and he doesn’t even bother to change his melee attack moveset in Phase 2. * I almost put it in a D+ or C- just because of that, but then I remembered that’d probably be even worse because it means more pain, and I probably would still soon forget this boss even if it had more melee movesets, like Dancer or Oceiros, because that is like blocking the sun with your finger. The problem is still there, you just try to pretend it isn’t. What earns it a B+ is the somewhat decent implementation of teleportation, and a few magical projectile attacks that prevent this from getting too stale. Oh, and I like the boss design, especially Phase 2. (Also, what’s the deal with these guys? Are they homotwins?) * I guess you could argue it should get an A-, but to be honest the formula is still boring so I can’t bring myself to do that, sry Princes fans **Soul of Cinder:** S Tier * Oh. My. GOD. They did it. That’s it. This boss is 10/10, and it’s mostly just a 1v1 melee fight. Easily the best boss thus far, and I will never understand those who prefer Pontiff or Twin Princes or Dancer or whatever else. Soul of Cinder is just peak. What makes it so good is the weapon swap. Since he can use many weapons with different playstiles, it doesn’t get stale or boring. He also has a fair share of projectile based attacks, some fireballs and the magic sceptre.  * And then there’s Phase 2, which is the cherry on top. Now, Phase 2 is technically just Gwyn, and FYI I actually didn’t like Gwyn in DS1 at all. I still think SoC Phase 1 is way better than Phase 2, but P2 is still a great phase. SoC Phase 2 is basically Gwyn if it were good. It has more attack variety than Gwyn, and the lightning-based projectile attacks which are a welcome addition.  * And the arena is really good, especially the sun or darksign or whatever it’s meant to be, it looks so sick. Unfortunately, the endings that follow are a bit of a whimper (and far too similar to DS1 endings) but that isn’t the boss’ fault. It also has some pretty good lore, though I think I might’ve preferred if it were *only* the DS1 player/Gwyn fusion instead of every person who ever linked the flame (don’t quote me on that pls, I’m not sure if I even agree with my own take here) * I’ve heard some people saying that Soul of Cinder is a disappointing final boss. I have no idea what they’re on, but it’s literally the very opposite of that, at least for me. It far exceeded my expectations as a boss, and I’d take SoC any day over any of the previous bosses. The only reason it doesn’t get a perfect S+ is because… I guess bosses like Cronos (GoW3) or Chakravartin (Asura’s Wrath) need to have their own tier basically **Ancient Wyvern:** C- Tier * I lowkey forgot this was even a boss until now. What is there to say that hasn’t been said? I personally don’t mind gimmick bosses at all (especially if they are different from the same old tired 1v1 melee formula) but I think this one takes it a bit too far. * You do some running around, and then you suddenly plunge it on the head and… it’s a one shot? Bro. They could’ve tried harder than that. If they really wanted to make it a gimmick, then they should go full on that concept. It would’ve been way better if it were more based on evading the Dragon’s attacks for longer while doing “platforming” or at least hiding behind stuff. It should’ve lasted at least 2-3x longer for it to be genuinely good. * This “boss” works better if you don’t think of it as one at all, and instead just view it as a unique environmental hazard in the Archdragon Peak, which is admittedly hard to do considering it has a boss bar. At least the plunge kill animation is kind of cool I guess. I still think I unironically get more enjoyment out of this than Champion Gundyr and arguably even Dancer **Nameless King:** S- Tier * Yo, look at that! This is another really good boss. Now, I still think SoC is better, as evidenced by the - symbol following the S. This is mostly because the individual phases of the boss are good, but not excellent by themselves. It gets S- because of the combination of the 2 phases into 1 boss. The King of the Storm phase is really cool, probably the better one of the 2 for me because thank god it’s not another 1v1 melee boss. It’s still a bit iffy with the positioning though. * I don’t really think the camera stuff is a dealbreaker, especially considering Phase 2 exists, but they should’ve pulled it back even more perhaps, so you can react to Nameless’ spear swipes from on top of the dragon. I searched for a mod that would fix this but unfortunately I found nothing. I don’t really mind it that much though, especially since if you know what you’re doing King of the Storm is actually kinda easy. The trick is to try to stay in front of him instead of under him * As for Phase 2, it’s a 1v1 melee duel against the Nameless King god damn it. It’s probably still on the upper end of duels, as it has a few interesting moves where he raises up in the air, or shoots waves of air toward you. But the timings here seem to be really off. This is probably one of the first times it happens, but I just can’t get used to rolling at the last second to avoid this guy’s attacks. There’s something wrong with it. This causes me to just have to tank most of the attacks since they end up hitting me anyway, because I roll too soon it seems. And the worst part is, I can’t even practice this specific phase of the fight without refighting the dragon, which is cool the first few times but after that you just wanna get it over with to begin learning Nameless King’s movesets * Still, the combination of the 2 phases earns it an S- tier for me **Champion’s Gravetender:** D- Tier * Wtf is this FromSoft? This boss feels like a joke. I really am speechless, and in a bad way. * Listen, I think a boss like this could’ve worked if it were way earlier on the game, as one of the first bosses maybe. But this late on the game, especially in a DLC? You expect to fight something a bit more creative than this, even if it ends up being another 1v1 melee duel. The Gravetender is as basic as you can get, they didn’t even bother making a more extravagant model for them, it’s just a regular, human sized NPC. The big wolf is what keeps this fight from being F Tier I guess, but even then it feels far too basic, and a few of the attacks are a bit harder to dodge than they should be (I don’t really want to admit it, but this boss kinda kicked my a\*\* a few times) * The only explanation I can come up with for this boss’ mere existence is that they wanted to recreate Sif from DS1. But even then, this has none of the things that made Sif stand out, it’s just a big wolf enemy that’s it. It doesn’t have a sword, and it doesn’t limp either. Personally I thought Sif wasn’t even all that great of a boss (mechanically), so there’s no reason I should hold back on this one. It’s the worst boss in the game, and you know it **Sister Friede:** A+ Tier * Yeah, I don’t think this is an S tier boss. It’s mostly because… well, I think you already know the drill by now. Phase 1 is a boring 1v1 melee duel. Phase 2 is where it gets interesting. Yes, you heard that right. Phase 2 is what makes this boss be good, and not only is it a good phase, but it’s by far the best of the 3. You should’ve seen that take coming considering my likes as seen in my other opinions on the other bosses * First, I’d like to say that the cutscene that leads from Phase 1 to Phase 2 is so awesome. Probably one of if not the best cutscene in the game, it’s that good. Now, onto Phase 2 itself. Here, instead of fighting only Friede, Father Ariandel joins the fight too, and thankfully he has a way better design and cooler attacks than Friede herself. Some people complain about this being a “gank”, but to be fair I don’t think it’s that bad after practicing it for a while. And it’s still infinitely more interesting than the previous phase. The arena is sick too * And then, comes Phase 3. Some people also complain about this boss having too many phases, and I actually disagree with that. I’m one of the people who think that, the more phases a boss has, the better, no matter the game it’s from. Regarding this particular phase though, I’m not a big fan of it. It’s basically Phase 1 all over again. It has some new attacks, but tbf none of them stand out to me. The worst part is, this phase is insanely bs. Friede literally has no attack windows, she’s never vulnerable. To be honest I just don’t think it’s feasible. I only ever beat Friede with the help of Gael’s ghost summon, which, by the way, was the first time I had to use a summon in this game to overcome any of the bosses. * And, before telling me I was “underleveled”, it doesn’t matter how much damage I deal or how many Estus I have if I can barely get an attack or 2 in at all. The reveal of there being a 3rd Phase is cool though. This is definitely one of the better DS3 bosses still, but far from being the best. **Demon Prince:** S Tier * FINALLY. A damn good boss that doesn’t use the same tired formula. See? FromSoft has the capability to make a game filled with bosses like this. But they don’t. (Unless…. Elden Ring? I haven’t finished it yet, but it doesn’t seem to be following this formula either…) * Now, I don’t think this is a perfect boss, but it’s definitely one of the best in the game. Phase 1 (the “Twin Demons” phase) is pretty good, but Phase 2 is the real deal. Regarding the first phase, I like multitarget fights and I think they executed it pretty well in this case - though here comes my one and only real criticism of this fight: Hot take, but Demon in Pain and Demon from Below not only should have vastly different movesets, but also 3D models. I think that, if they were more distinct, this fight would truly be a perfect S+ Tier fight. Unfortunately, the play exactly the same, with the same attacks and combos. I still think this phase is good, but not as good as Phase 2 * In Phase 2, you now only fight a singular target: the Demon Prince. Thankfully, not only does he have melee attacks, but also cool projectile attacks that are actually interesting. And he also has a very cool “super attack” which varies depending on which demon you kill first. I’m not entirely sure if that was the best way to go about it though, since the big projectile AOE one is borderline undodgeable in my experience, while the laser is easier to dodge and arguably cooler. Maybe they should’ve just combined both the attacks in the same phase and ditch the “which demon you kill first” approach, and make the AOE meteorite attack a bit easier to dodge (unless I’m missing something) * The fight itself is also pretty fair, I don’t think there are any truly BS attacks other than the previously mentioned (and avoidable) AOE meteorite super attack. Though what you’ve gotta keep in mind is that this is an endurance fight. There are only like 1-2 attacks of theirs that give you an opening to strike 2 or 3 times in return, and you must wait for the boss(es) to perform those attack(s) in order to be able to counterattack, otherwise you will take damage, which is not good because Demon Prince (Phase 2) has a lot of HP. This approach is interesting, though it admittedly makes the fight take 10-20 minutes, so it should probably only apply to a few bosses, not the majority (which isn’t the case, but just saying if they were to make a game with bosses like these, they shouldn’t all take as long to kill as Demon Prince does) * Also, apparently the arena is the DS1 Firelink Shrine (I know, it’s crazy, right?), which is a cool detail but 1- I’m not sure how that’s possible according to the lore and 2- I guess it could’ve been more obvious **Darkeater Midir:** S Tier * We’re officially on a hot streak with this one! Once again, FromSoftware proves that they can make good bossfights that don’t amount to just being a boring melee duel. It has fantastic attack variety, with a lot of attacks that aren’t only melee. Lots of spectacle as well and a beautiful arena. Now, I think I still prefer Demon Prince, but the difference is minuscule, this boss is very much worthy of the S tier. * Technically Midir is an endurance fight too, but it doesn’t feel overwhelmingly long either if you know what you’re doing. I think it has a bit more “BS Factor” than Demon Prince, but it’s kind of negligible. Some people complain this is a “walk backwards simulator” but at least in my personal experience I was never able to consistently dodge all of it’s attacks by just walking/dodging backwards so idk what those people are on to * My only semi complaint I guess is that it could’ve used a more pronounced second phase. It technically does have a Phase 2 in which he adds new (and super cool) attacks, but for a second he does a dark explosion and for a few frames he truly looks like a dark dragon with extra dark power, I think it would’ve benefited from looking like this in Phase 2 and gaining new movesets dark/shadow related, but it’s fine as is **Halflight, Spear of the Church:** D- Tier * Aaaanddd… there goes the hot streak. This boss is just trash. Now, before you come at me, I’m playing offline so I got to fight against the Halflight NPC, not another player. I guess it has some decent magical attacks, but that’s as much praise as I can give it. * Basically all the criticisms from Gravetender apply here, both are the worst bosses in the game. Which one is the worst is debatable, but I’m putting Halflight higher because 1- Magic attacks and 2- It technically spawns another Player instead of the Halflight NPC if you play online, though I didn’t get to experience that. It still sounds flawed in that the other player may just choose to not fight you, and in that case the whole gimmick of the fight goes over the board. You could still make a good argument of the Greatwolf from Gravetender’s fight giving it an edge over Halflight, but it doesn’t really matter when both are still trash bosses **Slave Knight Gael:** S- Tier * Grrrr another 1v1 melee duel grrr. Indeed, your eyes are not deceiving you. It gets an S**-**. And you’re lucky I’m even giving it an S. Listen, as a melee fight, it’s good, probably one of the better ones (still worse than Soul of Cinder). But as an overall boss? It’s ultimately still only melee-ing me, and that’s boring. It does have some non-melee attacks like the crossbow, some light boomerangs and that’s about it I think, but it doesn’t really change anything truly. I give it an S because it feels like a more realized version of Artorias, who, spoiler alert, I also didn’t give S Tier to, but it came close. I like that it’s movements are more erratic than just hitting you with swords like Pontiff or Dancer. It jumps around a lot which makes it a bit more interesting than most of the other 1v1 melee duels in the game * In terms of aesthetics, yeah the design is pretty cool, the lore is good, the cutscenes/dialogs are good and the arena is good, though I expected the supposed “end of time” to look more… colorful. Very colorful. Instead we got a Mad Max style wasteland which is fine I guess but not my first choice. It’s probably for the better given this particular boss’ design though * Also, please. I’ve seen a lot of people now saying that Gael is not just the best boss in the game, but also the best boss in any videogame. Listen, I know I can’t change your tastes, but a boss that primarily uses melee as their main attack is flawed from the start, and it will never be the best boss in any videogame. You can’t tell me that you like Gael over Midir or Demon Prince, they are way cooler and their attacks are infinitely more interesting than Gael’s. Soul of Cinder gets a pass because of the concept, but Gael doesn’t have that, at the end of the day he’s just a guy with a sword, not an amalgamation of different playstiles like SoC. For me, saying that Gael is the best boss in any game, hell, the best DS3 boss, *hell*, the best *Ringed City* boss is borderline delusional when bosses like Midir, Demon Prince and Soul of Cinder exists. Arguably Nameless King and Abyss Watchers too. * And it also shows this person has never played games like God of War 3/Ragnarok or Asura’s Wrath, which have bosses way cooler and better than Gael (Hades, Cronos, Nidhogg, Garm, Hrist and Mist, arguably Heimdall too. And for Asura’s Wrath, Augus, Wyzen, Vlitra Core, maybe Deus and obviously Chakravartin are all better). I could keep going but I don’t think I care enough to. In the end of the day, I’m helpless here. To each their own I guess * Anyway, rant over **Full list:** 1. **Soul of Cinder -** S Tier 2. **Demon Prince -** S Tier 3. **Darkeater Midir -** S Tier 4. **Nameless King -** S- Tier 5. **Slave Knight Gael -** S- Tier 6. **Abyss Watchers -** S- Tier 7. **Dragonslayer Armor -** A+ Tier 8. **Sister Friede -** A+ Tier 9. **High Lord Wolnir -** A Tier 10. **Deacons of the Deep -** A- Tier 11. **Curse-Rotted Greatwood -** A- Tier 12. **Twin Princes -** B+ Tier 13. **Pontiff Sulyvahn -** B Tier 14. **Yhorm the Giant -** B- Tier 15. **Old Demon King -** B- Tier 16. **Vordt of the Boreal Valley -** C Tier 17. **Oceiros, the Consumed King -** C- Tier 18. **Aldrich, Devourer of Gods -** C- Tier 19. **Dancer of the Boreal Valley -** C- Tier 20. **Ancient Wyvern -** C- Tier 21. **Iudex Gundyr -** C- Tier 22. **Crystal Sage -** C- Tier 23. **Champion Gundyr -** D+ Tier 24. **Halflight, Spear of the Church -** D- Tier 25. **Champion’s Gravetender -** D- Tier * Regarding the some of the more controversial placements of the list above, I think it’s a tradeoff. Pontiff and Twin Princes are (debatably) more fun to fight against on the moment than Greatwood, Wolnir and Deacons, in which case if that’s what matters the most for you then the latter 3 should probably be in B tier. * However, creatively, design wise, and overall memorability Greatwood, Wolnir and Deacons slam Pontiff and Twin Princes, in which case the list is better as is. They are more interesting to think about (in terms of design, spectacle and attacks; not lore) and reflect upon after the fight is already over than Pontiff and Twin Princes are, imo. * I think I value this a little bit more, so that’s why they are in A tier and Pontiff and Twin Princes aren’t, but I could definitely see that tradeoff/exchange as a fair take. Note that I only mentioned Pontiff and Twin Princes in particular though, bosses like Vordt, Champion Gundyr and Dancer stay where they are no matter what imo So, uh, yeah. That's it. Bye I guess lol

Is there a better way to protect supports as a Peni Parker?

I like this hero a lot; She has a lot of map control and a funny ult that does a ton of damage if the turrets been out for a while, but I can’t think of a lot of ways to protect supports as her. At first I tried just setting up a defensive line with my traps to keep them from reaching the back line, but there’s a ton of dive champs in the game who can just ignore it so it didn’t work very well. After that, I tried placing my set up near them, but I’m usually the only tank on my team which meant when I stayed near them then the dps has no tanks now, and when I was at the front line, I had no abilities because the turret was in the back. Also, they couldn’t really play around it because other champs aren’t as strong as Peni is in her traps. The best success I’ve had is setting traps up frontline and killing any dive character I see, then stunning anyone who makes it past giving them a chance to retreat. Is there a better way to go about this or do I switch heroes when the enemy is heavy dive?

Shane’s job

Lacey just replied to a comment that Shane was an ENGINEER in the oil field…. Why in the hell would you ever quit that job??? Shane was probably making a very nice 6 figures doing that. I cant believe he quit a job like that, to work for a tiny company that isn’t going anywhere. Lacey must have played some crazy mind games into his head for him to quit working there.

Optical Properties of an Unknown Sample

“This is Dr. Antonio Romero. First audio log of sample 4536. Date March 14, 2017. Time 7:03 in the morning.” “This is my first time keeping a recorder beside me while I research samples brought to me from the field. Normally, I record my findings through pen and paper, or through the computer. But Erica recommended that I try using the recorder, as it can be used to capture details that I might miss.” “A brief introduction: I run the optical properties center in the advanced government research institute, which includes myself and two other researchers: Dr. Henry Chen and Dr. Erica Stewart. Our team handles the determination of optical properties of unknown samples.” “At our disposal, we have a large dark room where no external light sources can penetrate. Within that room, we have spectrometers, spectrophotometers, lasers, specialized lamps, and other equipment.” “Sample 4536 was given to us by one of the field agents, Olaf Henderson. It was safely stored inside a metal briefcase. A briefing from him indicates that it looks like a near-transparent crystal. He told us that initial assessment indicates it is not radioactive.” “It seems to behave very strangely under varying light sources. He told us that the sample does not glow when directly exposed to a 365nm UV light source. However, after exposing it to the same light source after 12 hours of near-complete light isolation, it glows a bright pink. He also notes that under direct sunlight, the sample’s shimmer appears to change over time. Sometimes it is opalescent. Sometimes it has a faint golden hue. But it always maintains its transparency.” “Considering some of the samples I have seen, I am not surprised. Anyways, I have it now, so let’s begin.” *Click.* “Opening the briefcase, we can see a large, perfectly transparent crystal in the shape of a teardrop. It is almost 32cm high with a max diameter of 15cm. It is quite light. Putting it on the scale indicates it has a mass of 1.23kg. Looking at the sample in an office setting, it appears to shimmer in a faint light green hue. Interestingly, Olaf mentioned a golden hue under similar conditions, which I do not observe here. This discrepancy is curious and warrants further investigation.” “I will take it to the dark room and expose it to various colors of light to see what I can get.” *Echoes of footsteps.* *A door opening and closing.* *Machinery humming.* “Let’s begin. Before starting, I will note that the crystal has become less transparent with a white color. The shimmer remains the same.” “I will start by placing the sample on a white surface using red, green, blue, yellow, purple, and pink light sources.” *Click. Click. Click. Click. Click. Click.* “The sample does not respond to any of the colors. Testing using UV light sources, 395nm and 365nm.” *Click. Click.* “Sample appears to respond only under a 365nm light source. It appears to be fluorescent, emitting a light purple glow.” *Wheels rolling.* *Click.* *Sounds of a machine humming and whirring loudly, then slowly fading away.* “That’s strange. Using the spectrometer, it looks like the crystal is emitting 634.7nm and 490.2nm wavelengths. However, there is no broad range or normal curve shown in the graphs. It is purely a straight line. A pure delta function. How interesting. Olaf's report didn't mention any specific wavelengths but a pink glow after 12 hours of only 365nm light exposure. How curious.” *Click.* *A door opening and closing.* *Echoes of footsteps.* “I will transfer this sample to Henry and Erica. They will handle the laser analysis of the sample. I am excited to see what they find tomorrow.” “Second audio log of sample 4536. Date March 15, 2017. Time 11:12 in the morning.” “Henry told me that both he and Erica have completed the laser analysis. Their findings indicate that the sample does not behave like glass. When the green laser emits a beam at the sample at various angles, it seems to reflect it directly back into the laser. The reflection angle does not change with different wavelengths, including 365nm.” “Perhaps I should specify as to stress the strangeness of their findings. They observed no refracted, transmitted, or absorption behavior during the experimentation. 100% of the incident beam was reflected back into the laser.” “They also mentioned that the sample appeared to have changed visually. It is now white and purely opaque. It is not exhibiting the purple glow under 365nm that I observed earlier.” “I told them that considering the rather discrete wavelengths this sample emits, perhaps we should shine a laser at those wavelengths to see if it will respond. Erica suggested that if we submerge the sample in different media, we could alter the laser wavelength to possibly match its emission wavelength. They will start by adjusting the red laser wavelength to 634.7nm and report their findings.” “Third audio log of sample 4536, if it can be called that. Date March 16, 2017. Time 8:47 in the evening.” “I am saddened to report that there was an incident in the dark room nearly 8 hours ago. The only one affected was Erica. Her well-being is unknown. On-site technicians told me she was holding a bloodied glass shard. It appears she stabbed her eyes out with the sample and kept screaming incoherently.” “Erica was the only one in the dark room at the time. She was handling the adjustments of the red laser wavelength using various media. I found her recorder on the table next to the sample. All the machinery and lights were off. The equipment was scattered on the floor. Blood... blood everywhere.” *Sniffling and sobbing.* “Olaf and his colleague, Christy, came to see both me and Henry an hour after the incident. They informed us that Erica is currently being monitored at one of the finest government medical facilities. The doctors are doing everything they can to save her, but her condition is critical. We should know more about her status by tomorrow.” “In the meantime, we have been advised to rest for about a month while the lab is put back in order. They need to find a replacement for Erica during her recovery. Additionally, it has been recommended that no one works with the sample alone. They will hire a few people to supervise us while we work.” “Before ending this rather short audio log, I want to play a section of Erica’s recorder. I am not sure what to make of it.” *Click.* *A woman talking.* *“… the medium is now prepared. After adjusting the ratios between media 3, 7, and 21, I finally got that damn red laser to change from 632.8nm in air to 634.7nm in the mixture. I will call it my baby for now until I can figure out a better name. I will prepare a tank filled with my baby…”* *A woman chuckling.* *“… that will allow the sample to be fully submerged. Time to prep the tank. Go for lunch. This will take an hour. Maybe.”* *Echoes of footsteps and a woman whistling.* *Thud. Snap. Click.* *A machine whirring and liquid oozing.* *“Ok. Tank prepared. My baby pouring into the tank. Time for lunch.”* *Echoes of footsteps.* *Click.* *A door opening and closing.* *Silence for 19 minutes.* *Static noise for 2 minutes.* *Silence for 23 minutes.* *A door opening and closing.* *Click.* *Sounds of footsteps and a woman whistling.* *“Oops. Left my recorder on. My bad. No harm done though. Tank looks roughly 90% filled. Preparing the sample for submersion.”* *Slosh.* *Wheels rolling.* *“Firing the laser in three. Two. One.”* *Click.* *Machine whirring.* *“Huh. Antonio was right. Look at that. The sample responds to this laser wavelength. I can see a purple image projected onto the background from the laser. Strange that it changed the incident wavelength so much, let alone act like a caustic lens and projected an image onto the wall. I will need to document this in more detail later. I will describe the image now.”* *“It looks messy. Chaotic. No wait! It appears to have fractal patterns. The top left looks like a Mandelbrot set. The image is extremely clear considering the circumstances. I can see at the bottom left that there are many circles. The biggest ones at the center, then expanding outward. At first, it looks like there is no pattern, but from a distance…”* *Echoes of footsteps.* *“…it looks like several chains of circles spiraling from a large center circle. This is beautiful.”* *Static noise.* *“Hey. What’s that forming in the center? It kind of looks like a…”* *Static noise for 15 seconds.* *“Cannot unsee… it’s in my head… Shapes that don’t make sense… Different dimensions…”* *Static noise for 12 seconds.* *“What is that? Who are you? What are you?”* *Static noise for 32 seconds.* *Loud screaming for 27 seconds.* *Glass breaking.* *Machinery toppling.* *A door opening and closing.* *Click.* “I will return this tape to Olaf shortly.” *Sigh.* “Both Erica and Henry are very close. An item really. Right now, Erica is under strict classified monitoring, and we cannot see her. I will comfort Henry soon.” *Silence for 2 minutes.* “The sample has been stored in a vault until further notice. Right now, I am emotionally compromised. I will recommend a course of action once I return. Probably after a month. Might end up telling them to keep that sample locked up forever. Who knows.” “I will know once I return.”

Good evening. Care to have a look around? Our stock has changed now that winter is leaving.

Canadian Nursing Reqs

I’m (20m) a third year accounting student, it’s been going good but I’m not feeling the entire corporate vibe to it, I’ll probably finish my accounting degree because why not. But I don’t want to sell my soul and not find any joy in what I do yk, it’s boring and very bland. So I was wondering if I should just do nursing after I finish, I’ve seen the moneys great, and honestly the entire challenge that comes with it seems exciting, the environment seems more in my lane and I would rather do that than have nothing but numbers in my life when I’m 30 and 40. Nursing seems more fulfilling. I dont have G12 Bio, and was wondering what steps I should take towards becoming a RN. I’m also curious about the course load, extra stuff you have to do, and the manner of content you learn.

Civic

So I’m leasing my 24 civic. I was not planning on keeping it after the 3 years. If Trump goes through with the tariffs should I keep it? I’m only assuming car values will go up and ultimately I will be paying less…or am I looking at this the wrong way?
